PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a server system and program which enables a user to easily retrieve, display, and edit displayed items when a data base is accessed for retrieval by automatically storing the displayed items being retrieved in a terminal like a client device. SOLUTION: A server system 20 accesses a database for retrieval and returns retrieval result signals containing retrieved results to each client PC30, in response to retrieval request signals including display items for the retrieved results and retrieval conditions, which are transmitted from each client PC30. A main control unit 1 of the server device 20 stores data for the display items as a cookie in each client PC30 (step S3, S14, S15) and sends a program to each client PC30, which transmits the retrieval conditions inputted by each client PC30 as well as the retrieved results of the display items, both of which are supposed to be the retrieval request signals from the client PC30 to a HTTP server device 20 (S23).
