PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user interface which can be customized in each user for remotely controlling an apparatus connected in a network, and realize an operation environment in correspondence to needs of each user. SOLUTION: In an apparatus control system for operating remotely a plurality of apparatuses 32 comprises: a terminal 2 which is used by a user for transmitting an instruction signal for the plurality of devices 32; an instruction reception part 5 for receiving the instruction signal from the terminal 2; a command converting means 11 for converting the instruction to a readable instruction by the apparatus 32; and a transmitting means 6 for transmitting the converted instruction to the apparatus 32.
