PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat commutator that makes it possible to press contact a conducting material to a terminal piece and the like and to a commutator piece sufficiently and highly stably, and that can achieve good electrical connectability with the terminal and commutator pieces. SOLUTION: A plurality of terminal pieces having winding connecting terminals, isolated from each other, are attached along the outside circumference of an insulating support. A plurality of commutator pieces corresponding to the terminal pieces, which make a brush-slidingly contact surface perpendicular to the axial direction of a rotor being isolated from each other, are attached to the insulating support. The conducting material is provided inside in such a way as to be press contacted by a pressing plate provided inside in contact with the terminal pieces and the surface of the commutator pieces roughly facing the pressing plate. The conducting material is press contacted to the commutator pieces and the terminal pieces corresponding to the commutator ones and/or the pressing plate contacting the terminal pieces.
