ADJUSTMENT METHOD FOR SURFACE MOUNTING ANTENNA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the VSWR(voltage standing wave ratio) characteristics of a surface mounting antenna without revising the resonance frequency. SOLUTION: In the surface mounting antenna where a radiation electrode 12 one end of which is opened and the other end of which is connected to a ground electrode 14 and a feeding electrode 16 capacitively coupled with the radiation electrode 12 are placed on the front side of a base 10 made of a dielectric material, the board 10 is mounted on a circuit board and the radiation electrode 12 and the feeding electrode 16 are soldered and fixed to the circuit board, the VSWR characteristics of the radiation electrode 12 are adjusted by cutting off the length of the feeding electrode 16 and thinning the width of the electrode 16.
