PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the security of the whole prepaid card system by taking a measure against illegality such as alteration of magnetic data of a card of a kind of a low amount to that of a card of a high amount while minimizing the increase of cost and processing time. SOLUTION: This prepaid card system is provided with a carrying means for carrying a prepaid card, a magnetic writing head 24 for magnetic writing confirmation 25 for magnetically recording and confirming using information on a used amount, etc., and issuing information to the magnetic surface of the prepaid card to be carried by the carrying means, a thermal head for printing the using information magnetically recorded in a magnetic layer adjacently to the issuing information printed to the surface of the prepaid card, a CCD 27 for optically reading the using information and the card issuing information printed by this thermal head 26, and a control part 30 for confirming printed contents read by the CCD 27. |
