PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a short circuit accident across electrodes caused by an adhesive. SOLUTION: The light emitting device is composed of a light emitting element 2 provided with a pair of electrodes 4, 5 on one face, and a support base 3 whose surface is provided with a pair of electrodes 7, 8 to which the pair of electrodes 4, 5 are fixed. Grooves 9, 10 which are situated between the pair of electrodes 7, 8 are formed on the surface of the support base 3. The grooves can be formed as the pair of grooves 9, 10 corresponding to the pair of electrodes 7, 8. The grooves can be formed as mutually independent grooves. The grooves are arranged to be mutually parallel, and they can be arranged on a straight line. |
