<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting method which enables a user to obtain and register a domain name on the Internet by using a portable telephone set, generate and set a mail address, and then transfers mail addressed to the address to an address currently in use. SOLUTION: In a domain name acquisition system including the portable telephone set 2, a registrar 3 having a domain name processing part 31, an account setting part 32, and a mail transfer part 33, and a registry 4, the portable telephone 2 and registrar 3 are connected by an Internet line 5 and the registrar 3 and registry 4 are connected by an Internet line 6. The domain name acquisition part 31 has a function of retrieving and storing a domain name, the account name setting part 32 has a function of generating, setting, and storing a mail address, and the mail transfer processing part 33 has a function of setting and storing a transfer destination of mail. The user 1 can retrieve and register a domain name, set an account, and set a transfer destination of mail on the Web of the registrar 3 of the portable telephone set 2 having an input part 21 and a display part 22.</p> |
