PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a digital still camera from shutting down in advance. SOLUTION: When no power save modes have been set (NO in step 21), the strobe emission apparatus of a camera is charged by a steady current (step 23). When the power save mode has been set (YES in step 21), the strobe emission apparatus is charged with a small amount of current that is smaller than the steady current (step 22). When the power save mode has been set, the strobe emission apparatus is charged by a small amount of current, thus preventing a large current from flowing to the strobe emission apparatus, hence preventing the shut-down of a camera. |
