PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a layout device and a layout program for facilitating the allocation of a character string to a document. SOLUTION: This layout device is provided with a means for inputting a character string, allocation means for allocating the character string from a preset starting point with the initially set size of a font and line spacing, discrimination means for discriminating whether or not a terminal character 10 of the character string is to be allocated to an ending point range set in advance, control means for allocating the character string from the preset starting point again by expanding or reducing the size of the font and/or the line spacing when the terminal character 10 of the character string is not to be allocated to the preset ending point range 11, and output means for finally setting the size of the font and the line spacing the character string to be allocated when the terminal character 10 of the character string is to be allocated to the preset ending point range 11. |
