PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide call incoming notification technology, with which call termination can be effectively reported when a call is terminated. SOLUTION: In an incoming side fixed telephone set 10, a call from an originating side fixed telephone set 12 is terminated (S14) and a call originating telephone number is detected (S16). It is investigated whether an incoming notification mode is set or not (S18) and in the incoming notification mode (Y in S18), a voice message is transmitted to the originating side fixed telephone set 12 for showing that a response is disabled (S22). Next, electronic mail addressed to a portable telephone 22 is prepared and the call originating telephone number is contained in that mail (S24). This mail is transmitted to the portable telephone set 22 (S26) and in the portable telephone set 22, call incoming is reported to a user by the received mail (S28). The user originates a telephone call from the portable telephone 22 to the call originating telephone number contained in the mail as needed (S30).
