PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an information read surface from being scratched by rubbish, dirt and dust, etc., without bringing it into direct contact with a desk surface even in the case of placing a card type optical disk on a desk or the like with the read surface down in the card type optical disk provided with a circular reproducing area or recording and reproducing area 2 at least on one surface of a substrate 1 whose outer shape is of card. SOLUTION: A step part 10 having the projection part 10a of a prescribed thickness is formed on the surface of the substrate separated from the recording and reproducing area 2 for a prescribed distance. The projection part 10a is provided on both ends of the long axis direction of the substrate 1 so as to keep the interval of the entire recording and reproducing area 2 and a plane at least to the thickness of the projection part 10a at the time of arranging the projection part 10a on the plane. |
