TOC READING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR COMPACT DISK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the repetition of the unreadable state of the TOC(table of contents) information of a compact disk caused by movement of a pickup along an inside periphery resulting from conventional fixed track jump when reading the TOC information away from a TOC region. SOLUTION: When performing track jump away from the recording region of TOC information, the number of track jump calculation processing in a step S108 determines the next number of track jump according to the previous number of track jump and the number of times of the acquisition of the TOC information counted in a step S109.
