Uses hinged wire spring clips (4,42) pressed into clamps (37) to hold lens in position on a lens support (3). Another type of hinged spring clip (5,51) folds over to grip the rim of the reflector so as to hold it against the lens support. The headlamp unit comprises: (a) a reflector (1) with location (12) for a bulb, a lens (2) having a rear face, turned towards the reflector, and a front face (22), and; a lens support (3) fixed to the reflector. The support includes clips and grips (4,37) to hold the lens on the support; the support (3) also includes clips (5) to fix the reflector to it. |
