Composition for oxidation dyeing of keratinic fibers comprises a p-(1,4-diazepan-1-yl)aniline developer (I). Composition for oxidation dyeing of keratinic fibers comprises a developer of formula (I); R<1> = halo or (un)saturated linear, branched or cyclic 1-6C hydrocarbyl in which one or more C atoms can be replaced by O, N, S or SO2 or by halo if the C atom is terminal; n = 0-4; R<2> = H; (un)saturated alkyl optionally substituted with COOH, alkanoyl, alkoxycarbonyl, CONH2, mono- or dialkylcarbamoyl or heterocyclyl; (un)saturated alkyl optionally substituted with OH, alkoxy, NH2, mono- or dialkylamino, SH or halo; alkanoyl; alkoxycarbonyl; mono- or dialkylcarbamoyl; CONH2; or C(NR<5>)NR<6>R<7>; R<5>-R<7> = H, 1-4C alkyl or hydroxyalkyl; R<3> = H, (un)saturated alkyl, OH, hydroxyalkyl, alkoxy, alkoxyalkyl, alkanoyl, hydroxyalkoxyalkyl, NH2, mono- or dialkylamino, aminoalkyl (optionally N-substituted by 1 or 2 of alkyl, acetyl and hydroxyalkyl), hydroxy-amino-alkyl, COOH, carboxyalkyl, CONH2, carbamoylalkyl, alkoxycarbonyl or mono- or dialkylcarbamoyl; R<4> = (un)saturated alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, alkanoyl, hydroxyalkoxyalkyl, aminoalkyl (optionally N-substituted by 1 or 2 of alkyl, acetyl and hydroxyalkyl), hydroxy-amino-alkyl, COOH, carboxyalkyl, CONH2, carbamoylalkyl, alkoxycarbonyl or mono- or dialkylcarbamoyl; m = 0-4. An Independent claim is also included for a method for dyeing keratinic fibers, comprising applying the above composition to the fibers and developing the color with an oxidizing agent.
