METHOD OF SEPARATING OXIDE AND SEPARATOR FOR OXIDE

PURPOSE: To provide a method and device capable of easily separating solder and oxide from dross while a large amount of molten solder is included in the dross produced in a jet solder bath and this dross is discarded heretofore but a large amount of the solder is included in the dross and the discarding of the dross is heretofore a loss in terms of economy. CONSTITUTION: This separator is installed with a multiplicity of vanes at a shaft orthogonally with the liquid surface of the molten solder and these vanes are partly submerged in the molten solder. The shaft is adapted to be rotated by a motor. This separating method comprises separating the oxide and the solder from the dross by finely segmentalizing the dross by the rotating vanes and sinking the segmentalized fine dross into the molten solder by the rotating vanes. The separation effect is higher if the segmentalizing and immersing of the dross are performed by spraying saccharides, such as rice bran and sesame, and flux components, such as colophonium and ammonium chloride onto the dross.
