PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device 1 composed of a plate metal retainer 2 and an oil seal 11, requiring neither of a special vulcanizing molding machine nor large adhesive agent applying equipment, preventing the damage of the plate metal retainer 2 when applying an adhesive agent, having a short cycle time of molding, and preventing the plate metal retainer 2 from deforming at the time of vulcanizing molding. SOLUTION: This sealing device 1 comprises the plate metal retainer 2 attached to a housing such as a cylinder block for an engine, and the oil seal 11 held by the plate metal retainer 2 and slidably and tightly contacting to a rotating member such as a crank shaft. The plate metal retainer 2 and the oil seal 11 are separately molded, and the oil seal 11 is fitted in an inner periphery of the plate metal retainer 2. |
