PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely easily determine the existence of a clear coating difficult for discrimination by a painting line. SOLUTION: An ultraviolet ray is irradiated to a surface of an external facing building member 3 painted with clear paint 2 including an ultraviolet ray absorbent in a surface, and the existence of the clear coating is determined from intensity of the reflected light of the ultraviolet ray absorbed by the ultraviolet ray absorbent.
