PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device with a permanent magnet rotated brushless motor for assisting steering force, the brushless motor being inexpensive and resistant to high-temperature environment, offering a comfortable feel of steering instead of a feel of kick-back or inertia to a steerer. SOLUTION: The electric power steering device comprising the permanent magnet rotated brushless motor for assisting steering force transmits the torque of the brushless motor via a reduction mechanism part to a steering shaft part or via a pinion shaft to a rack shaft, as assisting torque. The inertia of a steering system mechanism containing the brushless motor, the reduction mechanism part and the steering shaft part is set within a predetermined range. |
