PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for introducing a foreign gene into a kidney safely and efficiently, and expressing the introduced gene in the renal interstitium for a long period. SOLUTION: This method for expressing the foreign gene in the kidney is provided by introducing a recombinant plasmid vector with the foreign gene into the kidney by an intra-renal venous administration, and expressing the foreign gene mainly in fibroblast cells in the renal interstitium.
