PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas circuit breaker, which breaks a gas circuit when an anomaly is found in consumption amount of the gas. SOLUTION: The gas circuit breaker comprises a flow-rate detector 1 outputting flow-rate pulse signals A, a flow-rate computing means 3 computing an gas-consumption amount B from input about a flow-rate set valve 2 set according to the kind of a gas meter and flow-rate pulse signals A output from the detector 1, a flow-rate counter 4 counting the number of flow-rate pulse signals C from input about the signal A output from the flow-rate detector 1, and a flow-rate comparator 5 comparing the gas-consumption amount B computed by the computing means 3 with the flow-rate pulse signals C counted by the counter 4. Thus, if any anomaly is revealed in the volume of gas consumption, it can be detected.
