PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple dwelling house provided with a home elevator which can be commonly used among adjacent apartments without confusing each other's life in each apartment. SOLUTION: The home elevator 14 is provided with an elevator shaft 20 provided to be vertically extended, a car 22 disposed to be movable up and down in the elevator shaft 20, a drive means to move the car 22 up and down in the elevator shaft 20, a car calling operation panel provided on each floor, an elevator port 30 to the elevator shaft provided on each floor to be opened/ closed by an opening door 28 to the elevator shaft, an elevator port in a car provided to correspond to the elevator port 30 to the elevator shaft to be opened/closed by an opening door 32 on the car. The elevator port in the car and the opening door 32 on the car are respectively provided at positions where the car 22 faces apartments A and B or apartments C and D. The car 22 is composed in such a way that the inside of the car 22 is released to the external only through the elevator port in the car opened as the opening door 32 on the car is opened to open the elevator port in the car.
