OIL MAINTENANCE INDICATOR

An oil change indicator (10) for recording one or more parameters indicative of when an engine oil filter (30) has been changed. The oil change indicator (10) includes a sensor (34) that measures oil pressure of an engine (12) at startup. A comparator (40) compares an output provided by the sensor (34) to known parameters to determine whether the oil filter (30) has been changed. A recorder (42) coupled to the comparator (40) records one or several parameters indicative of when the oil filter (30) has been changed.
