The jet regulator (1) has a flow constriction in the water exit opening region. The regulator has a casing (2) with water inlet and exit openings, containing a jet nebuliser (5) and a jet control device (6) located after the nebuliser. The regulator has at least one water-contacting part with a soft and/or water-deflecting surface in the water exit opening region.
