The travel destination input system has a memory (3) storing a number of possible destinations, accessed via a user (10) dependent on given criteria and supplied to an output device (2). Each destination held in the memory has a lifetime, one criteria for accessing the destination provided by the relationship of the destination to a destination category and the lifetime of a category of possible destinations.
