ANTIGLARE ANTICLOUDING DEVICE AND AUTOMOTIVE OUTER MIRROR

An antiglare anticlouding device comprises a front−side substrate having a wavelength selectivity a transparent back−side substrate, an electrochromic layer sandwiched between the front−side substrate and the back−side substrate, a hydrophilic function layer including a light−transmitting optical catalyst layer and a hydrophilic layer on the front side of the front−side substrate. Alternatively, a reflecting mirror is constructed by forming an electrode−cum−reflecting film on the back side of an electrochromic layer. The optical catalyst layer has a function to decompose the stain on the surface of the antiglare anticlouding device. With the substrate having the wavelength selectivity, moreover, an antiglare anticlouding device can have a predetermined hue, so that a plurality of mirrors having functions different from each other can have similar hues when they are used.
