PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording medium having an excellent water resistance, a fast ink absorbing speed, an excellent ink absorbability and also a good image storage stability. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording medium comprises an ink absorption layer containing at least inorganic fine particles, a water soluble resin and a polyamidepolyamine-epihalohydrin resin on a support. In this medium, a quantity of a low molecular weight organic halogen compound contained in the polyamidepolyamine-epihalohydrin resin to be used is less than 0.5 mass% per solid content of the resin. |
