PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-shrinkable polyester film having excellent shrinking characteristics in a wide temperature region, without shrinkage whitening, uneven shrinkage, wrinkles, strain or longitudinal shrink marks, having excellent breaking resistance and solvent adhesiveness, and suitable as labels. SOLUTION: This heat-shrinkable polyester film has >=50% heat shrinkage percentage in the maximum shrinking direction in hot water at 95 deg.C for 10 s and <=10% number of test specimens having <=5% breaking elongation when the heat-shrinkable polyester film is preserved in the environment at 30 deg.C and 85% relative humidity for 2 weeks and tensile tests are carried out on a plurality of test specimens in the rectangular direction to the maximum shrinkage direction of the preserved films at right angles under conditions of 100 mm distance between chucks, 15 mm test specimen width, 23 deg.C temperature and 200 mm/min speed of testing rate of stressing. The polyester film can be adhered with a nonchlorine organic solvent. |
