METHOD FOR PRODUCING SILANE-MODIFIED EPOXY RESIN, RESIN COMPOSITION, SEMICURED MATERIAL AND CURED MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid cured material which has excellent heat resistance and low-thermal-expansion property without causing a void, a crack and the like, and to provide a silane-modified epoxy resin composition which is easy for a molding processing in a semicured sate and a semicured material and a cured material obtained from the composition. SOLUTION: The silane-modified epoxy resin composition characterized by containing a silane-modified epoxy resin (A) obtained by a method for producing a methoxy group-containing silane-modified epoxy resin (A) and a curing agent for an epoxy resin (B) and an epoxy resin-silica hybrid cured material obtained by curing the epoxy resin composition are used. The methoxy group- containing silane-modified epoxy resin (A) is characterized by obtaining by a demethanolation condensation reaction of a bisphenol type epoxy resin (1), a novolak-type epoxy resin (2) and a methoxysilane partial condensate (3).
