PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt fastener easily settable on a side surface of a column, and capable of minimizing projection from a column surface in a small type. SOLUTION: Tensional operation for operating a lever by a reciprocative rotational movement is eliminated from the ratchet type belt fastener. A fitting part is arranged in a tip part of a half-split shaft 1. A fastening tool such as a ratchet wrench is fitted to the fitting part, and a belt is fastened.
