FLOOR POST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a height adjustable floor post having a simple structure and manufactured at low cost. SOLUTION: This floor post comprises a block 2L formed with a U-cross- sectional fitting female part 2a in its upper part and a block 2U formed with a fitting male part 2b to be fitted with the fitting female part 2a in its lower part and the fitting male part of the block 2U is fitted in the fitting female part 2a of the block 2L at a free height. A plurality of horizontal projecting beams 2c are formed into a serrated shape in the side inside the fitting female part 2a and a plurality of recessed beams 2d to be fitted with the projecting beams 2c are formed into a serrated shape in the outside surface of the fitting male part 2b. Preferably, the respective blocks are formed of an aluminum alloy extruded structural angle.
