PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid enlargement of hydraulic pressure control valve means while attaining the improvement of a brake operating feeling in a brake pressure control device constituted to control the brake pressure of wheel brakes by switching communication of the wheel brakes with a hydraulic pressure generating means, communication of the wheel brakes with reservoirs, and cut-off of the wheel brakes from the hydraulic pressure generating means and reservoirs by the hydraulic pressure control valve means. SOLUTION: The hydraulic pressure control valve means VA-VD comprise normally open solenoid valves 5A-5D constituted to linearly change hydraulic pressure on the side of the wheel brakes BA-BD according to an applied current controlled by a controller C, and interposed between the hydraulic pressure generating means M and the wheel brakes BA-BD; and normally closed solenoid valves 6A-6D controlled on and off by the controller C and interposed between the wheel brakes BA-BD and the reservoirs 8A, 8D.
