PRODUCTION METHOD OF VINYLLACTAM POLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a vinyllactam polymer, which is low in contents of a residual monomer and a free lactam, and without causing problems such as a discoloring in storage. SOLUTION: The vinyllactam polymer is produced by polymerizing a monomer component, composed essentially of a vinyllactam monomer, wherein a water-soluble azo initiator is used and a pH of a reaction solution is maintained to be 5-10 until a rate of polymerization of the vinyllactam monomer is above 98%.
