<p>In a wireless communication system, a plurality of base stations are linearly coupled to each other. A number of topologies can be used for interconnecting the base stations to a base station controller, e.g. a first and a second base station of the linearly coupled base stations can be connected to the base station controller. Alternative communication channels can then be established between the base stations and the base station controller. In case of a failure of a first channel, communication can be switched to a second channel.</p> |
