PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically pay out a periphery of a cut end side as a picking margin of a roll paper from a lower part of a cutting edge of a front side of a cover to a front by simple operation after paying out the roll paper without damaging basic operation and an appearance of a roll paper holder. SOLUTION: A roll paper discharging roller 7 is supported by a front side lower part 6A of the roll paper cover 6 of the roll paper holder 1 of an approximately U shape in plane. A rotating shaft 7A is transmitted and coupled to an idler gear G4 through a plurality of gears G1-G3 and a one-way rotation transmitting clutch 8, and the idler gear G4 is meshed with a movable rack 9.
