This invention provides a liquid discharge head including an orifice plate having plural discharge openings for discharging liquid droplets, and a head main body provided with plural liquid paths for respectively communicating with the plural discharge openings, a liquid chamber for liquid supply to the plural liquid paths, a supply aperture for liquid supply to the liquid chamber, and plural energy generating elements provided corresponding to the plural liquid paths and adapted to generate energy for discharging the liquid droplet, and formed by adjoining the orifice plate with an adhesion face of the head main body on which formed are the apertures of the liquid paths for communicating with the discharge openings of the orifice plate, wherein the orifice plate comprises a recessed portion and a protruding portion on the adhesion face with the head main body, and the protruding portion has a shape corresponding to the cross-sectional shape of the liquid path and is provided the discharge opening therein, and the protruding portion or a part thereof is made to enter and to fit with the liquid path of the head main body and the adhesion face of the orifice plate is adjoined with the adhesion face of the head main body.
