PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the dimming controller of a camera by which the accuracy of exposure is enhanced by adding a photometric result by preliminary light emission and photographic distance information. SOLUTION: First emitted light quantity information is calculated based on a measured result with the reflected light quantity of an object by making a flash light source preliminarily emit light before photographic exposure, and second emitted light quantity information which is the upper limit of the emitted light quantity of the flash light source and third emitted light quantity that is the lower limit of it are calculated based on object distance information and a stop value at a photographing time. Then, main emitted light quantity information required for normal light emission at the time of the photographic exposure that is a post process is decided based on three kinds of the emitted light quantity information calculated before the photographic exposure by a main emitted light quantity deciding means, so that the photographic exposure is performed by making the flash light source emit the light based on information thereof. |
