PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation apparatus for automatically selecting the scale rate of a map according to road conditions for display, and to provide a display method and a program. SOLUTION: The navigation apparatus 1 detects the current position of a vehicle based on data that are inputted from a GPS antenna 12 and an autonomous navigation unit 13 for displaying the current position on a map. In the navigation apparatus 1, the scale rate of the map that is being displayed is changed according to the road width of the road where the vehicle is currently driving, thus displaying the map on the navigation screen. |
