摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display method and an image display medium by which (1) use of consumables can be reduced, (2) an image can be displayed with high contrast and high resolution, (3) image display dispenses with high voltage power source of high price and thereby image can be displayed at a low cost so much and (4) image display is not accompanied or is hardly accompanied with generation of ion. SOLUTION: The image display medium 1 has a pair of substrates 11, 12 at least one of which has light transmissivity, developer storing cells 16 formed between the substrates 11, 12 and a dry developer DL encapsulated in each cell 16 and further the dry developer DL contains two kinds of dry developing particles BP, WP with triboelectrostatic chargeability which have electrification polarity and optical reflection concentration different from each other. The image display method contains a process for preparing the image display medium 1, a process for arranging a photoreceptor layer 23 on one substrate 11 of the medium 1 and an image forming process in which driving electric field for image display is applied between the substrates 11, 12 via the photoreceptor layer 23 and also the photoreceptor layer 23 is image-exposed. The image display medium itself may have the photoreceptor layer.
