CONCENTRATION AND INSPECTION METHOD FOR HEPATITIS C VIRUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method in which a hepatitis C virus in a serum can be inspected with a simple apparatus and by a simple operation including the discrimination of its existence state. SOLUTION: The inspection method includes an operation of spotting a serum sample onto a recess on the surface of a gellike plate, an operation in which the plate with the spotted serum sample is cooled and in which the HCV existing in the serum sample and its immune complex are agglutinated in a ring shape so as to generate a phase separation from the serum sample and a concentration, an operation of transferring the cooled and treated serum sample onto a sheetlike support, an operation in which an HCV antibody is brought into contact with the transferred sample on the support and in which the immune complex of the antibody and the HCV is formed when the HCV in a free state exists in the transferred sample, and operation in which a marker substance specifically bonded to the immune complex is brought into contact with the immune complex so as to label the immune complex and an operation of detecting the labeled immune complex.
