SOLUTION: In this method for producing a guanidine derivative containing an amido group represented by general formula (II) (R<1> and R<2> are each hydrogen atom, a 1-4C straight-chain or branched-chain alkyl group or alkenyl group and may be the same or different; R<3> is a 1-22C straight-chain or branched-chain alkyl group or alkenyl group; A is a 1-10C straight-chain or branched-chain alkylene group or alkenylene group), the guanidine derivative containing an amido group represented by general formula (I) is reacted with a fatty acid halide or a fatty acid ester.
