PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetable cross-cutting apparatus capable of slicing leeks crosswise as an alternative to Welsh onions, and slicing vegetables such as burdocks and carrots by changing a material feed port. SOLUTION: The vegetable cross-cutting apparatus has a rotating disc-shaped cutter 19 at the lower end of swing rod 14 adapted to make regular reciprocating swing motion about a support shaft 8 at the upper end of the swing rod. A sizing plate 20 for defining cut thickness is locked to the swing rod in such a manner as to approach the circumference of the cutter and project toward one side of the cutter. The material fed port is provided in the front face of the cutter and the sizing plate can be fine-tuned to be capable of moving backward from a rotating surface of the cutter. The material feed port can be easily changed to suit cutting of rather long vegetables of differing diameters or cutting at different tilt angles.
