<p>A system comprises a site data appliance (SDA) (110) having a Universal Data Appliance Protocol (UDAP) adapter coupled with data source equipment (DSE). The SDA (110) is connected to a supply chain network. The SDA (110) collects specification information from the DSE, comprising event information. A server (105-108) the specification information from the DSE in a Description Document. A data center (DC) (100) is coupled with the server and connected with the supply chain network. The DC (100) receives the Description Document from the server and maps the event information in the specification information with event handlers. A map of the event information with the event handlers and the event handlers are then sent to the server. When an event is generated by the DSE, the map is used to select an appropriate event handler to execute.</p> |
