<p>An X-ray imager for producing an image by X-rays by means of a scintillator (4). CCD chips (2) of TDI drive are arranged. An array of vertical shift registers (2c) with narrow width for horizontal charge compression is interposed between a photoelectric transducing region (2vv) and a horizontal shift register (2h). Therefore there is a space near the end in the charge transfer direction of the horizontal shift register (2h). An amplifier device (7) is provided in the space, and consequently the increase of the size of the imager with respect to the imaging feasible area is suppressed.</p> |
