A separation method which involves inducing against a surrounding surface and outwardly spiraling flow which then throats into a downwardly opening surface against which at least some of the flow spirals with the effect being that denser particulate material is deposited centrally with respect to the spiral axes whilst the less dense material(s) moves away preferably within an outletted confinement.
