PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing hydrogen able to increase a hydrocarbon conversion rate and to obtain efficiently and stably hydrogen and a simple apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: Hydrogen is produced by partial oxidation of a hydrocarbon base raw material using an oxygen containing gas by a surface burner. The apparatus for producing hydrogen has a reactor, the surface burner installed in the reactor and premixed gas feeding means to feed the premixed gas of the raw material with the oxygen containing gas to the reactor. |
