PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a low temperature fired ceramic sintered compact with high strength, high thermal conductivity, high Young's modulus and high denseness, capable of manufacturing by firing at a low temperature of <=1000 deg.C, and useful for a insulating substrate provided with a wiring layer of a low resisting conductor such as Cu, Ag, Au, and Al on the surface or inside. SOLUTION: The low temperature fired ceramic sintered compact contains (a) gunite crystal phase and/or spinal crystal phase, (b) celsian crystal phase containing a needle crystal of >=3 aspect ratio and (c) at least one crystal phase selected from among groups of AlN, Si3 N4 , SiC, Al2 O3 , ZrO2 , 3Al2 O3 .2SiO2 and Mg2 SiO4 , and having open pore ratio of <=0.3%. |
