摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic material useful as an organic EL and having a new chemical structure, and further to provide a method for producing the organic material. SOLUTION: This organic material is an optically active arylene di-N- carbazolyl derivative compound represented by formula 1 (R<1> to R<4> are each independently H, a methoxy group, an amino group, a halogen or an aryl group; and R<5> to R<16> are each independently a methoxy group, an ester group, a nitrile group, an amino group, a halogen, an oxygen atom-containing group or an aryl group). The method for producing the optically active arylene di-N- carbazolyl derivative comprises a new reaction of forming the N-containing pyrrole ring of an N-carbazolyl group from an amino group and two carbons substituted with the halogen and/or the trifluoromethanesulfonyl of a 2,2'- dihalo-1,1'-biphenyl, a 2-halo-2'-trifluoromethanesulfonyloxy-1,1'-biphenyl or a 2,2'-bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyloxy)-1,1'-biphenyl to form two N-C bonds simultaneously.
