PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have a vehicle drive smoothly by preventing driving control which inhibits the will of a driver. SOLUTION: When the vehicle approaches an automatic toll collection gate ETC which detects passage of a vehicle for automatically collecting a toll at less than a predetermined close distance (for example, about 500 m), an ECU 11 notifies an occupant of the vehicle of presence of the automatic toll collection gate ETC ahead by a predetermined message by a display device 20 or voice or sound put out of a speaker. When the driver of the vehicle inputs the will of passing through the automatic fee collection gate ETC by turning on the ETC passage switch 12, the ECU 11 starts ETC passage control and acceleration/deceleration control of the vehicle so that a running speed of the vehicle detected by a car speed sensor 15 is a predetermined gate passage target car speed set in advance (for example, 20 km/h). |
