PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission operating device provided with a selector actuator using an electromagnetic solenoid capable of providing predetermined thrust even when a long operation stroke is needed due to many selector positions of a shift lever. SOLUTION: The transmission operating device has the selector actuator operating the shift lever in a selector direction and a shift actuator operating the shift lever in a shift direction. The selector actuator is provided with a control shaft supported turnably and axially slidably in a cylindrical casing with the shift lever attached thereto, and a pair of the electromagnetic solenoids arranged on both ends of the casing and operating the control shaft in an axial direction which is the shift direction. The shift actuator turns the control shaft in the shift direction.
