PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding device with simple and inexpensive structure which can separate and feed a sheet in the secured and stable state and can prevent overlapped sheet feeding by eliminating a drag from loaded sheets. SOLUTION: There are provided a paper feeding needle member 308 movable in the sheet feeding direction and piercing the sheet and a separating part 114 for applying a constraining force to the sheet in the feeding direction. The sheet is separated and fed in the state of the paper feeding needle member pierced through the sheet, while the feeding force by the paper feeding needle member is set larger than the castraining force by the separating part.
